I guess you could say I was one of those kids who always had her nose in a book. I love stories; that much hasn't changed, but due to the influx of television channels and countless shows, the attention span to sit and read through a good book has left me. I miss the days when I had so much free time that I could devote many hours of the day to just reading.
I fully intend to get back to my roots and abandon television for books again, but my family is making it very difficult by constantly inviting me to watch captivating shows with them. Damn you, Family! You should be promoting reading not television watching!

Spicing Things Up
Day one of Salsa class was a success!
No, We did not learn how to do moves like the above one yet, but we got the basic steps down! The instructor, James, encouraged us to start practicing the salsa steps at every given opportunity:
Here's hoping these new wishes come to fruition!

Ray Caesar
I just stumbled across this site recently. I think the artist's work is kind of fascinating in a dark and twisted way haha.

Singing the Rain
We've all seen the movie and thought to ourselves what a romantic idea it is, but in reality singing and dancing in the rain are not that pleasing! I mean your voice can't carry, there are puddles everywhere, and gosh darn it, your clothes get wet, heavy, and cold! Plus, we're never going to look like Gene Kelly even if we could learn all the moves.
Still, on a day like this when the threat of rain is all you think about, and you want nothing better than to just stay home and be lazy, the kid inside you can' help but secretly wish for a sudden Gene Kelly fever to get you out and splashing around like a care-free child.

Fairy Tale Prince
Every once in a while someone comes along who renews your faith in something.
In my case, it was him <3
And he proved something to me:
Boys can be sweet.
Chivalry is not dead.
And love does exist.

The Pearl
Margarite, the pearl.
She was his hidden gem, or so he claimed.
I related her more to the monstrous carbuncle that led to the birth of the pearl
I’d seen it myself how the oyster had a piece of polished shell forced into its gonads, and months later this surgical rape would result in a shiny round gem that is symbolic of all things pure and beautiful.
Then am I the oyster?
I had opened Henry to love and Fate decided to screw me and give him to her.
